Meet Our September Employee of the Month: Anton Strydom
We are so pleased to celebrate our September Employee of the Month, Anton Strydom! An integral part of our buying and processing team, Anton works to ensure jobs are ready for production and our factories have what they need to keep projects moving to schedule.
His positive attitude and commitment to supporting his colleagues makes this recognition thoroughly deserved.
We caught up with Anton to hear what he enjoys about his role, the trends he is seeing and how he spends his time outside work.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
“Seeing projects through from beginning to end is really rewarding. When you see the finished result, you can appreciate the work everyone has put in, from the initial sales conversations through to the final fitting. It’s great to see everything come together and know you have played a part in it.”
What trends or changes are you seeing across the industry?
“More people are choosing coloured profiles for their windows and doors, and the choice keeps growing. We recently introduced nine new Liniar colours, including new timber-effect finishes, giving customers even more options to find something that really complements their property.”
Do you have any advice for people getting started in the industry?
“Attention to detail is key. No two jobs are the same, and there are always different requirements to take into account.
It’s also important to keep learning and stay up to date with changes in the market and regulations. Things move on, so you need to keep your knowledge current.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I love going to concerts and have already booked the C2C country music festival for next year! I also enjoy going on holiday, with my first cruise coming up soon.
Closer to home, I enjoy going to watch Lincoln City.”
