Tradeglaze was commissioned to enhance both the aesthetic and environmental performance of this essential public space. The brief focused on energy efficiency, visitor comfort, and a contemporary, welcoming design.

Flush Aluminium Windows
We specified and installed AluK 58BW and 58BD flush aluminium windows with astragal bar detailing—chosen for their slim sightlines, thermal efficiency, and modern styling. These replaced the building’s original timber-framed windows, which had become increasingly draughty and inefficient over time.
The new aluminium units significantly improved insulation and transformed the building’s appearance, turning it into a bright, welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.
A standout feature at the front of the building is a wide expanse of glazed windows, creating a bold architectural statement and allowing natural light to flood the interior. With excellent U-values, these windows help maintain year-round indoor comfort—crucial for a high-traffic public venue.
Commercial Aluminium Doors
We installed Senior Architectural Systems SFG-SD doors with anti-finger trap protection and a stylish anthracite grey finish to complement the windows. Designed for high-traffic use, these robust doors offer superior durability, security, and thermal performance.
Their sleek, contemporary look reinforces the modern aesthetic of the building, while advanced locking systems provide peace of mind for staff and visitors alike.
Roof Lanterns
Six roof lanterns were installed to enhance natural light and provide a bright, welcoming atmosphere inside the community space. These features contribute to both the building’s energy efficiency and user experience.
Manufacturing Excellence
All glazing products for this project were produced in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Bishops Road, Lincoln. Building on a £500,000 investment in our 13,000 sq ft production facilities over the past two years, we have already added new six-figure cutting-edge machinery in the first quarter of 2025, supporting innovation, improving efficiency and shortening lead times for customers.
