Meet our May Employee of the Month, Ben O’Connor! A skilled fabricator in our uPVC factory, Ben plays an important role in manufacturing bespoke products for Tradeglaze’s trade, commercial and domestic customers across the East Midlands. After an impressive 20 years with the business, Ben’s dedication, experience and positive attitude make him a thoroughly deserving recipient of this month’s award.

This is the second time Ben has earned the recognition, having previously received the award in April 2024. His commitment to the business and consistently high standards have made him a valued member of the Tradeglaze team for two decades.

A Team Player Through and Through

A highly respected member of the fabrication team, Ben takes pride not only in his own work but also in helping others succeed. He plays an important role in supporting and developing new members of staff, sharing his knowledge and experience to help produce quality products for our customers.

Going the Extra Mile

Jonathon Price, Head of Production, says: “Ben is a longstanding and highly valued member of the fabrication team who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our customers receive a quality product, delivered on time.

His commitment to the business and dedication to customer satisfaction were particularly evident recently when a critical piece of machinery suffered a breakdown. Rather than allowing production to be disrupted, Ben stepped up and took on the challenge of completing the work manually. Through his determination, skill, and positive attitude, he maintained the high standards expected by the business while ensuring customer orders were delivered on schedule.

Not only did Ben prevent delays and potential customer dissatisfaction, but he also exceeded production targets despite the additional challenges. His willingness to go the extra mile, take ownership of problems, and put the needs of both the business and our customers first makes him a truly deserving recipient of recognition.”
