Meet Our November Employee of the Month: Ella Parker
We are delighted to recognise Ella Parker our talented Marketing Assistant, as our November Employee of the Month! Since joining Tradeglaze, Ella has brought creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for our products to the marketing team. Her eye for design and commitment to continuous learning have made her an invaluable member of the team.
Can you tell us about your journey at Tradeglaze so far, and what you enjoy most about your role?
“My time here has gone so quickly! Working with such a lovely bunch of people makes every day fun and rewarding.
One aspect of my role that I really enjoy is going out to take photos of our finished projects, it is great to see our products in situ and know that the images will help inspire homeowners and show them what’s possible with their own spaces.
I also love the variety that marketing brings. We wear lots of hats, but it has been brilliant to learn so much across different areas and build strong product knowledge, to the point where I can confidently talk to customers and industry professionals about what we do.”
What advice would you like to share with others considering a career in the industry?
“The industry has been such a pleasant surprise. I think a lot of people have a certain perception of it, and it just isn’t like that at all. Tradeglaze is such a professional and supportive place to work, with so many people working behind the scenes to help customers bring their projects to life.
My advice to anyone starting out would be to get involved, ask questions and stay open-minded. A positive attitude goes a long way, and you will build technical knowledge quickly with the support of the team. Before you know it, you will be pointing out window styles everywhere you go!”
Can you tell us about your ongoing professional development and your goals moving forwards?
“Marketing is always evolving, so staying up to date with what’s happening is really important. Earlier this year, we attended the Nottingham Digital Marketing Summit, and it was great to come away with fresh ideas to feed into our strategy going forward.
I’m also working towards my final Chartered Marketer exam, and continuing to build my skills, especially in video. Over the past few months we have created a lot more new and exciting video content, and it’s had a real impact, so I’m really excited to take that further.”
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, Ella enjoys keeping active in the Gym and experimenting in the kitchen – she particularly enjoys baking bread! When it comes to her favourite cheat meal, she can’t resist a steak and all the trimmings from Miller and Carter.
